Amitabh Bachchan

He is one actor who has been awarded the ‘Knight of the Legion of Honour’, highest civilian award in 2007 besides being honoured with ‘Citizenship of Deauville’ (France) in 2003 and ‘Moroccan Medal of Honour’.

Shah Rukh Khan

King Khan is also another Bollywood actor to have been presented with French’s top civilian award that is ‘Knight of the Legion of Honour’ in 2014.

Laurent Fabius, Foreign Minister had presented the award to Shah Rukh Khan. In India, King Khan also owns the IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders.

Anupam Kher

Another actor to join the list of the Bollywood celebrities who have made India proud is none other than Anupam Kher. An actor of his ability, he is known for his contribution towards the art and cinema.

Kher has received the ‘Honoured Guest’ award by State of Texas, U S.

Priyanka Chopra

One of the fine actors of Bollywood industry today is the beautiful Priyanka Chopra who became a popular with her T V show Quantico.

For Quantico, Priyanka Chopra also received the ‘People’s Choice Award’ in 2016.

Gulzar

Notable poet Gulzar has been one of the recipients of the ‘81st Academy Awards’ for his song Jai Ho. Gulzar has now become a name well known around the world thanks to his compositions.

A R Rahman

Music composer, singer and song writer and the winner of ‘Oscar’ for his song Jai Ho.

Rahman has just been on the move from the time he step foot in the film industry with not one but many awards adoring the walls at his home.

Bhanu Athaiya

Winning an ‘Academy Award’ for being the Best Costume Designer for Gandhi is not an easy task.

Honoured by ‘Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters’, Anurag Kashyap has been presented this award for his continuous efforts to promote the Indian cinema world over.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

And that’s what happened with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan when she was conferred with ‘Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters’ by the French.
