The finale of IPL 2016 was also a mix of emotions as 2 great IPL teams came face to face with each other viz., Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Though RCB was playing on its home turf still it was unable to stand up against the determined Sunrisers, so to say in both the innings. With Warner and Cutting on Sunrisers’ side, Sunrisers Hyderabad were able to come up with a nice score that is 208 for 7 wickets down.

Working hard

However, even Kohli and Gayle together could not save the day for themselves. This defeat came 3rd time in the finals. Things did not seem too fine with RCB as though they had tried their best still they were not the ones to take the IPL 2016 trophy home.

Lost but maintained Dignity

Virat Kohli, captain of RCB still maintained his dignity and termed that it was not that good when they finished at the 2nd place. Still he was proud of the hard work that went, to come up to the finals. He also thanked Bengaluru people for their support in best and worst times throughout the season.

As for the loss in the IPL finals, he said in the post – match presentation that if he had stayed a bit longer with AB de Villiers then the chances of winning IPL 2016 would have been more. Kohli added that Sunrisers won this IPL season solely because of the strong bowling. Besides this, records are made to be broken by others.
